Membership
Application for membership is open to everyone interested in dogs, and most people who share a common
interest know the benefits of membership of the national body which promotes their particular interest.
Membership Benefits
Apart from the usual benefits of belonging to a national club, including full voting rights and eligibility for

Canine Events
The Club organises a wide variety of canine events including two major Championship Shows,
obedience, agility and working trial events, and Top Scottish Show Dog of the Year.
Each one of these events is open to everyone owning a Kennel Club registered Dog.
Licensing Authority
Licences are issued by the Scottish Kennel Club and all matters relating to these shows go through
our office. A list of show dates is prepared each year and this is available in our
Show Dates page.
Information Bureau
Knowledgeable staff are available to answer questions on dogs, offer a selection of leaflets and
books and access registers of breeders, dog clubs, training clubs and rescue societies on computer.
Seminars are held on a regular basis with priority AND discount for members
