Page Title
Here are some brief instructions on how to use the toolbars in dreamweaver to style and add content to your website. You can access your tool bars using the navigation at the top of your screen. Most of your tools can be found in the Properties toolbar, to open this tool abr if it is not in place then click Window>Properties.
Text can be styled as usual using bold, italic etc. Appropriate styling is in place for both numbered and unorderd lists. PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THE FONT SIZE AS THIS IS PREDEFINED IN THE STYLE SHEET. To set up headings then you highlight the text you wish to make as a heading then go to your properties panel (see above) and select "Heading1" or "Heading 2" from the available styles. Heading 1 is set to be a larger font with the paw icon. headins within page content should be set to "heading 2", see title below.
Aligining the page images
All of your images should be saved in an image folder or a separate album folders for simple organisation. To add a image to the page use Insert>Image then on the "style" drop down select either "leftimage" or "rightimage" to place images to the right or left of the page. Images can be used to link to other pages using the link feature in the properties panel.
Adverts on the right hand panel can be changed by simple using the "src" field on your properties panel to pick a new image from the "Adverts" folder and then using the link to pick a new location to link to. If you create our own images for the right hande panel they must be no more than 200 pixels wide.
To set link simply highlight a text or image and then use the "link" field on your properties bar. The target icon allows you to select a file or folder to link to within your website, alternatively you can copy and paste a web address into the field. for external sites or file TARGET MUST BE SET TO "_blank".
