Collecting your new puppy during lockdown restrictions
Posted on 11th Jan 2021 By Admin
As a priority, we must all be following the relevant Covid-19 Government measures.
Current Scottish Government regulations, unless you have a reasonable exception,
does not permit
travel between Scotland and the rest of the UK. Current legislation from the Scottish Government can be found here:
https://www.gov.scot/.../coronavirus-covid-19-stay-at.../
and
https://www.gov.scot/.../coronavirus-covid-19-guidance.../
If you are due to collect a puppy during the current restrictions, please read the following guidance from the The Kennel Club:
https://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/dog-breeding/breeders-and-covid-19-faqs/
Should you wish to engage the services of an animal courier, please ensure that they are a DEFRA licensed transporter. Your breeder should be able to advise and provide you with details of a reliable pet transporter known to them.
